If your 24- to 26-year-old son or daughter hated poor people their age and only dated successful people in their 50s, 60s, etc., how would you react?

Let them know that their happiness is the most important thing, and if they ever need anything they can always reach out, and know that they are loved.

At 24-26 their brain fully developed. So there is not much left to do.
They know what they want = not being poor. So they are using what they have. It’s not like they are dishonest about it.
Just tell them you love them and if they need help you will be there. And that’s your job in this situation.

FWIW the “brain stops developing after 25” stat comes from a study where the oldest person they looked at was 25… Its not a reliable stat. Our brains are always developing and there is no “fully developed” age

        Good to know!
I believe there is a point where the teenager hormones are washed out and get only affected by regular flow of hormones (menstrual cycle mostly)

If it makes him/her happy and fulfilled?
Who am I to judge who should be liked.

Now if my child would be dismissive or abusive against them, then I’d be not so chill anymore.
Everyone (aside from abusive or exploitative humans) should be treated as an equal and with a respect for their existence.
So hitting a homeless person is a no-no.
    Hitting Trumpp is allowed. :)
