Closest I’ve seen to this being done was the movie Black Hawk Down. Meanwhile can you imagine everyone screaming at each other in the John Wick films? Other movies like Aliens would have been a whole different level of horrifying as the sound fades away until its just the sound of the actor’s muffled heart beat and their cluelessness that the xenomorph is crawling up behind them.

Considering the millions of disabled veterans out there, many of whom were recruited for purely financial reasons or to get out of a dead end life post-high school, yeah. I’d rather see a real story of James Bond doing something more difficult than being a fancy dickbag for the 900th time.

And hey, the therapist can give him a handy at some point or whatever. Everyone can be happy.

ok, but you know James Bond is British, yeah?

So the armed forces recruitment system isn’t quite as aggressive as the US, and because of universal healthcare, and unemployment benefits, people don’t get pushed into it from the other end quite as much, either.

Now I come to think of it, there’s at least a couple of times when we get to see Bond in hospital … usually ending up with him having raunchy sex of some sort … so it’s been done.

Lots of people enjoy watching those movies as they are, not many people enjoy films about realistic personal struggles.

          sigh

I don’t know if you’re trying to make a “joke”, or if you’re the sort of man who punches women who dare to speak up (which is what that turn of phrase implies), but I’m going to block you now.
