Did he get trump’s approval? Shouldn’t he?
Oh look, dictator #57196 who really believes he can survive and have people actually love him
How original
Ortega made the announcement on Sunday during the official ceremony marking the 47th anniversary of the 1979 Sandinista revolution, in which he helped overthrow the brutal dictatorship of Anastasio Somoza.
In other words: I killed the dictator, so I get to be the next dictator!
Dictators have a much better record than you give them credit for. Even when they don’t maintain supreme authority indefinitely, they often secure control for multiple generations. And when they finally exit their post, it’s routinely with their pockets stuffed full of cash. Occasionally, they just stick around as ultra-wealthy landlords that the country venerates purely out of a sense of tradition.
Yep, half of Spain still venerates Franco. A man who should have been dragged outside and shot.
How long before this happens in the U.S.?
Before?
Look up Bush v Gore
It hasn’t? I just kinda assumed…
You mean people elected him?? /s

I’ve seen this movie before.
