    Oil is kinda already obsolete, so it doesn’t really matter if we’d run out in 50 or 100 years - if we’re still consuming oil at the current pace in that time, half the people who might be upset about oil availability are going to become climate refugees of some sort, who won’t be able to afford cars at today’s rate. Space is going to get tight in a lot of places if people need to move hundreds of km inland to escape rising sea levels.
