I think they did a study in Australia about this. People who voted for a minority candidate were less likely to vote for one in the future because voting for that minority candidate was there “get out of jail free” card for any future racist voting patterns.
Obama was a once-in-a-lifetime candidate and also almost engineered in a lab to make white people comfortable.
Likely the first woman president we have will be conservative --someone who woman might vote for because she is a woman, but also someone who men might vote for because she advocates patriarchy… example: Margaret Thatcher.
