    This is interesting because

    Saudi Arabia says…

    And then

The Houthis have previously denied targeting Mecca, saying that they do not target holy sites.

It’s no secret that there is a religious conflict dynamic (Sunni vs Shia) within Yemen and with Sausi, but the Shia still view Mecca as a holy site for themselves too (founding pillar of Islam).

So is this propaganda from Saudi to inflame religious tensions to get support for something very drastic in Yemen? (Like the mass starvation and blockade a few years ago?)

Houthi’s start a civil war and bring Yemen in to chaos. Somehow still Saudi’s fault.

The saudis suck arse, but lets not pretend the houthi’s are some warriors of justice

Mohamed forbids murdering people, so how much is that religious standpoint worth.

Saudi arabia took Yemeni land in 1930 and promised to not interfere with Yemen internal affair yet they did it during the revolt . Saudi arabia impose a 10 years deadly blockade on Yemen causing massive suffering to Yemeni civilians. There was a cease fire and Saudi broke it by attacking a yemni envoy returning from Iran but somehow it is houthis fault

Al saoud when they took power they destroyed the prophet entire family tombs

Yeah revolutions tend to be chaotic, but it’s Saudi Arabia that decided they’d rather starve a hundred thousand people to death instead of having a government they don’t control in Yemen.

      what a disgusting take.

that “cube thing” holds religious significance for about 25% of the worlds population, not to mention the cultural and economical implications.

It actually happened twice atleast. What the typical islamophobes do not understand is that “cube” is just a building, its not divine. Its only role is give a direction for prayers. If broken, it will be rebuilt.

You think an homophobic person see someone from the lgbtq+ and run scared? You are an Islamophobic and supporting terrorism against a civilian infrastructure

United Nations Official Guidance on Islamophobia

Islamophobia is a fear, **prejudice and hatred **of Muslims that leads to provocation, hostility and intolerance by means of threatening, harassment, abuse, incitement and intimidation of Muslims and non-Muslims, both in the online and offline world. Motivated by institutional, ideological, political and religious hostility that transcends into structural and cultural racism, it targets the symbols and markers of being a Muslim.

Cambridge & Collins Dictionaries: Include prejudice, hatred, and unreasonable dislike or aversion.

If you said the same thing about the Wailing Wall, you would get your ass roasted justifiably, and people would rightfully call you a dirty antisemite

I’ve heard enough news about the middle east for multiple lifetimes. I suggest we close all embassies in the middle east & let them fight it out.
