Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•We all have strong opinions on a lot of things, but what's something you really don't have a strong opinion on?
35·2 days agoThere are very few things I’m passionate about. That list would be shorter, the rest would be “not strong opinions on”.
Billionaires and those who carry water for them: All are bad, and should be taxed till they’re millionaires and then mostly ignored.
It’s your body and your life, do whatever you want. But, don’t expect there to be zero consequences for every choice. “Your right to swing your fists ends at my nose.”
Respect is earned. Over and over.
Everyone on Earth deserves “free” healthcare–paid for by a tax on all. The people allocating the money should have ZERO say in what is funded.

Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•Any corporate fine that has a maximum amount is absurd given that we don't cap the size of corporations
31·2 days agoWe need to be careful how we allocate power. A judge having the power to single-handedly take down a business is too much.
Power corrupts. Corrupt actions by the powerful you agree with today, can be turned against you tomorrow.

Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•The TV shows from our childhoods often influence the kinks we discover in adulthood
92·4 days agoApparently, “kink”, “fetish”, and “things I like in a slightly sexual way, or even just obsess over” all mean the same thing now. Oh, and “obsess” is another such word.
This is one reason it’s so hard to communicate clearly.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Whats your opinion on touchscreen on laptop?
2·6 days agoI mean, it sounds like a good feature on paper, and it’s perfectly doable. Tablets have add-on keyboards, old phones had slide out keyboards, so touchscreens + keyboards IS a thing.
But, touchscreens on laptops? Nope. People don’t want that.

But, it’s all above board and legal. That’s justice.

So, it’s really $10 a month.
I might pay $5 a month for unlimited but I’m not sure about that. Because, you know they’ll raise the price if they get successful enough. And, then it’s just a constant march to more enshittification.
