This is my favorite type of democracy. Why even have representatives in a digital-first world?

I love projects like this. Do one thing, super well, without adding a kajillion dependencies. I love the vanilla HTML / CSS approach.

Octopuses are quite intelligent but I don’t think they have the lifespan to become a dominant society.

So many creatures are almost there but missing just one or two things.

If whales had thumbs (to enable tool building), I have no doubt they’d have become dominant like humans did on land. Though I suppose it would’ve been difficult to discover fire underwater.

It’s not. There is a small but measurable portion of the population who have gotten romantically attached to AI chatbots.

I wouldn’t worry about it, there have been people like this as long as humans have existed. Like, people who claim to have relationships with ghosts, or fictional characters, etc.

And when they say anything other than “You’re absolutely right!”

Some people don’t care if they get caught. If that’s true, any consumer drone would work.

There are radio jamming guns but they don’t really stop drones, just the pilots from controlling the drones. And that’s circumvented by fiber optic drones like they use in Ukraine.

I’m shocked this hasn’t happened yet. All the pieces are there, but nobody has pulled the proverbial/literal trigger on it yet.

Per-passenger is a stupid way to charge this tax because the service provided is per-plane.

The math in this video checks out, even when spreading the costs over all the passengers of a larger plane.

Instant recall would be huge in the US. People here have extremely short memories.
