What do you consider a soldier to be? Because I have a feeling you are using a very narrow definition that excludes some of the examples I would make.

I don’t know if this concept really falls under mimicry. It’s more like that time that one bird species:“re-evolved” back into existence. except we weren’t there to see it and the bones make us think that we are just missing the fossil record for the in between time frame.
