You can turn off notifications for individual apps.
It’s astonishing how many people don’t know this and get blasted with notifications all the time.
I need to let about half the people I encounter on public transportation know about this nifty little thing called Bluetooth headphones that allow you to listen to music on the go without blasting it out to everyone around them.
I just shout “turn that off!” And when they inevitably get the stink face and start to turn around to look at who dares scold them… I immediately shout “what would it sound like if everybody on this bus played music like you?”
That ends it every time. They look and feel like shit, and they turn off their speaker phone.
Firefox on Android supports add-ons
What are some good addons?
All the greatest hits on desktop are here. Like uBlock Origin, of course.
I paid $3 for an app called Textra and it has just a couple features that I love.
The features I love the most are delayed send, scheduled send, simple block list that actually works, easy to copy text, fully customizable theme and icon.
It’s not earth-shattering but each of these features does something I can’t get with the native apps or with other texting apps, or they offer the *feature but they do it poorly.
Phones are able to be turned off
Apparently they have ringtones as well
Keeping hearing that people these days just use stock ringtones, and mostly leave their phones on silent/vibrate.
Meanwhile, I’m reminded that Team Rocket once took over the Radio Tower in Goldenrod City every time my family calls me. Never forget.
I have heard this but been unable to test it as I use a Samsung and a non-default Gallery app. BUT.
Apparently on iOS if you use the draw tool and draw a circle, square, diamond or other simple shape, you can hold on the final point and the app will clean up the lines and make them straight/symmetrical/properly curved.
iOS: 3-finger tap to get a bar with undo/redo and copy/cut/paste buttons.
