The half-autists need some love too!
And that’s how vtubers are made.
Is this what used to be called Asperger’s?
No, that’s a vegetable that’s very popular in Spring
Are you sure you’re not thinking of hamburders?
This isn’t a great photoshop job but it illustrates the most frustrating thing about this design: you can easily make it line up far better by writing it normally
Idk this photo looks really believable, and only the HALF logo gives it away from me.
Hah, thanks. I figured it was good enough and it just wasn’t worth taking more time for something like this. If I were to improve it more I’d stretch out the “half” a little more, shrink the “marathon” a little more, reduce the brightness and saturation on “marat” a touch, anr then go through softening the edges of each area that copy/pasted. Maybe try to get a little texture back into the red background shape too, not sure how I lost that
50% off a marathon of autism!? Yes please.
Gotta love color schemes and malformed slogans that are weapons grade horrific to autists, being used on behalf of autists, to ‘support’ autists.
I hate whoever made this.
It’s in line with the puzzle piece motif the creator also chose.
Autists tend to view the puzzle piece logo as infantalizing, insulting.
Yep. The suggestion one is incomplete because one is autistic is just fucked up. Autists are complete humans.
(I was trying to agree with your post, but rereading I see I didn’t make the connection explicit, which is ironic in a thread about autism.)
The suggestion one is incomplete because one is autistic
Yikes! Is that really the meaning behind it? I naïvely would have assumed that it was referring to autistic people enjoying puzzles…
I did a bit of research because before I was speaking from my gut.
Turns out the puzzle piece was first used in 1963 by the National Autistic Society in the UK. They had a crying child inside a puzzle piece. They no longer use that logo.
“the puzzle piece is so effective because it tells us something about autism: our children are handicapped by a puzzling condition; this isolates them from normal human contact and therefore they do not ‘fit in’. The suggestion of a weeping child is a reminder that autistic people do indeed suffer from their handicap.” — Helen Allison
The article The Problem with the Autism Puzzle Piece gives a good overview of current interpretations of the puzzle piece. Naturally, YMMV, all autistic folk are entitled to their own interpretation, etc.

Ah!
I was too angry upon seeing it to get that you could be, or were, making that point sardonically, or also in derision.
All good, lol =D
Use just half of your legs
Autism marathon is when they let you to completely unmask for a long time.
To be fair, the intended beneficiaries of the event probably only half hate it.
Run for 13.1 miles, walk (or get around some other way of your choosing I guess?) for 13.1 miles, makes perfect sense
