I read a lot of good reviews and videos about GOS: high security and privacy. There are also other complaints which i can only know through random social media comments: app compatibilities, weird workflow (profiles),
My problem is that in my country, Pixels are very expensive even the refurbished models: the old Pixel 6 is like $500, refurbished one is $300. At that price, I could just go for a low end Android phone.
Is there a way to experience GOS like on an emulator? I want to try it out before buying a brand new phone to install.
Look and feelwise it is basically stock android but with extra privacy and security features added. You can go completely google free or install their services in a sanbox with no special privileges. What are you using right now? And what is your goal?
been living in Samsung’s garden for many many years lol. I hate the bloatwares that came with the phone, yes you can use adb to delete some apps but some still stay (core Samsung apps). The one feature that really gets me into GOS is separare user profiles. So I can compartmentalize my stuff + a dummy profile.
Big plus, GOS comes with zero bloatware and Google Services is completely optional.
It should also be noted that stock Android does not have nearly as much QOL features as Pixel Android. For example, you can’t change the font of the lock screen clock.
QOL? I don’t care about the clock font. Can you set individual internet access for apps on a pixel android? GOS has many other features that pixel android doesn’t.
Graphene has network permission yes. Its also stronger than that of other OSes
