TLDR If I get arrested for being topless as a trans women the outcome would either be
1: it’s illegal, which would be a win for trans women as we would be considered closer to cis women, or
2: it’s legal which would be a win for free the nipple movement because it could be argued “that trans women can do it and their boobs are the same as ours”
Or C)
Have you arrested for a totally different crime coz you “assaulted an officer” and “heavily resisted lawful arrest” and hence be jailed for this. In GenPop of course.
Now forcefully sewing t-shirts as a slave that say “MAGA” or “LGBTQ IS THE DEVIL”.
News will read “Trans violence on the rise again!”.
You know, The murican way 😁
Breaking news from the Florida Supreme court: EVERYONE must wear either a shirt which fully covers the nipples and belly-button or a wool turtleneck sweater in public in Florida, at all times, from now on, including at the beach, regardless of gender, sexuality or minority skintone, according to the new ‘no nipples’ nevenude law. In a surprise move, Florida Governor Ron Destainus upon hearing the news is quoted as saying “Okay, what the fuck? Maybe we should rein it in a little… Too far people, too far…”, a unique position for him to take, wanting less government abuse and overreach for once and sources say he only sold 2 natural parks to the highest oilcom bidder shortly after that quote, a record low. All university volleyball tournaments have been cancelled due to confusion with the ‘shirts versus shirts’ matches.
/s obviously but that’s my take on what would happen and my best The Onion impression attempt.
This happened in Scotland after the law was clarified on biological m/f:

Taps aff!
It has been done before, with both kinds of news coverage, too:
- With nipples: https://snackmag.co.uk/trans-women-protest-topless-outside-scottish-parliament
- Without: https://www.thepinknews.com/2025/05/17/scottish-parliament-holyrood-trans-protest-supreme-court/
Don’t let that discourage you, though. Showing the “facts don’t care about your feelings” crowd that their “facts” are in fact just feelings, is always worthwhile.
What was the aftermath? anything?
I’m neither Scottish nor ultra-deeply embedded into the trans community, so I doubt I would’ve heard of politician statements or the like. But yeah, I do think I would’ve heard of it, if the ruling got repealed, and I did not hear of that, unfortunately.
I guess, the main aftermath is that it got reported pretty much globally, because it is clever and there are boobs involved, so even clickbait newspapers can print that. Well, and hopefully it got people talking and reevaluating their preconceptions.
It’s not worthwhile, they don’t care what comes out of their mouths.
They want to opress, without reason or logic.
Well, I guess, then don’t show it to them, but to all the bystanders that haven’t thought about this issue enough and therefore let the bullies do whatever they want. We need them on the side of reason to prevent the bullies from hijacking democracies.
The point is transphobia. They will just use it as an excuse to persecute you, without giving the slightest bit of consideration to you. In the same way that the UK is trying to ban trans folk from using any gendered toilet. The point is the discrimination, they don’t give a shit about “gotchas”
Dumb question but where do these people think trans people defecate and urinate, if not on a toilet?
the simple answer is they don’t want us to exist in public
The push for the rulling was that the word “woman” in the equality act, should apply only for those assigned female at birth. So they would have to use their assigned at birth gender. Do note that they only ever shouted loudly about trans women, never that a trans man would be using the mens instead.
I’m too rash to live in such difficult times. I just want to gather a mob of terrifying trans men and hit up women’s bathrooms, but I don’t think that’s how we maximize rights.
not quite, the ruling explicitly didn’t make it as simple as that
in some circumstances the law also allows trans women (biological men) not to be permitted to use the men’s facilities, and trans men (biological woman) not to be permitted to use the women’s facilities
Next to their degenerate friend holding a crack pipe in the alley behind the library where they read trans propaganda to our kids of course
they don’t, they want us to not exist
They’ll just say ur a man with boobs and nothing changes for cis women.
But! If they outlaw man-boobs in public, we’re still one step closer to equality!
I thought I was so smart for my idea 😭 womp womp
Haha love the optimism
They will beat the shit out of you and maybe make you disappear.
I’d worry about getting a very biased jury
Just get your boob job, girl. You don’t need to make excuses 😂
I’m not familiar with Florida laws but in much of the US anyone can legally be topless under certain conditions. I think it’s usually exposed genitalia and sexual intent that are specifically illegal but general toplessness without sexual intent that isn’t creating public disorder isn’t something you are likely to be prosecuted for. You could get harassed and possibly arrested but it’s unlikely to go further than that. If you really want to do this you should consult with an attorney to get prepared ahead of time.
Do you think you’ll make it alive to court?
You should probably start by going to a blue state. Police may still be transphobic tho
