Decided at 63 I wasn’t going to go down without a fight as my body seems to complain more and more every year. So I bought a motorcycle last month after a 20 year break from riding (after a near fatal riding accident where I got rear ended by a minivan). If Im gonna die, it ain’t gonna be on a couch from eating too many Doritos while watching some inane TV show. So far, 300 kms and not a single near fatal accident lol.
What are ya doing to stave off the Grim Reaper and live a little?

As in neither provide any protection in a world designed around cars?
Well, they do have considerably more on a motorcycle than a bike. First your helmet is DOT approved and very good for keeping the brain matter inside the brain cavity (Im living proof). Riding gear is not only wind/water proof but the good stuff has reinforced protection over your hands, your backbone and your elbows and knees and is rip proof. If you want to go all in there are now jackets or vests that have built in air bags to cushion you and the Honda Goldwing even has a built in airbag.
Its not perfect but there are tons of videos of motorcycle racers falling at 200 kph+ and sliding across the ground, and just walking away without a scratch. Like this guy who lost his brakes at over 200 kph: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K0J9iXzeRNc&t=49s
