'bout like this

Sitting on my lap, having accepted our football playing and other games as an apology for me having worked all day.

My dog is good! We’ve got around 8-12 inches of snow, and he is loving galumphing around in it
She was mad because I tripped over her earlier, so she went to sleep on the nice warm DirecTV box, behind the TV, and probably won’t move until dinnertime.
He’s lying next to me, cuddled up against me.
He’s amazing but I worry about our future if I can’t find a job soon 😞

Good, also mad we had friends over to help decorate for Christmas yesterday
Wanting some gubbins.
(Gubbins is what we call treats)

Late Spring means a lot to my cats.
Starting by the Cat Rotation System. Siegfrieda is a bit too sensitive to heat, so she looks for cooler places to sleep. Like on the bathroom sink, or in the laundry room. This means my room is free for Kika to spend 24/7 there, and that’s what she has been doing.
It also means lots of bugs, and… well, 3AM zoomies because cricket. And storms (Kika is afraid of thunder.) By the way she’s hiding in the cardboard house I made her, so at least my weird hobbies are actually improving her life, now she got a safe space.
The heat also makes them shed off the old fur and holy shit, I’ve been cleaning cat hair from everything these days.
Lazy.
happy it’s snowing
tired from running around in the snow
If I know my cat’s they’re asleep in the sun on my bed right now.
As its gotten colder, some of the cats have gotten into the habit of getting up under my blanket and snuggling with me. For most of them, having the blanket flat isn’t really an issue.
But not little miss Calli. She has decided she needs a blanket tent using my knees to create the space so she can curl up between my legs. She asks for this by gently pawing the side of the blanket while staring at me, like “Mom, make me the space, mom”.
That is unless I don’t do it quick enough. Then we start pawing faster and trying to push our face towards mine. All I can hear in my head every time is “MOTHER, THE COLD APPROACHES, MOTHER! THE BEDS, MY SIBLINGS, THEY ARE NOT ENOUGH! I NEED YOUR WARMTH, AND I NEED IT NOW, LEST I PERISH IN THE NIGHT!”
This is normally followed by me making our space, and then inevitably one of our siblings pounces at our space, much to her distaste.
