This is what I don’t think they realize. There’s only a certain point to which you can escalate violence before retaliatory violence becomes the norm.
For example, if you’re in a warzone, and you know the other side has been instructed to “kill and leave no survivors,” you’re never going to just lie down and take it, you’re going to fight them back, because it’s die if you do, die if you don’t.
If this keeps up, there will be a point where ICE killings are so expected, that anyone in their path will take any means necessary to kill those ICE officers first.
I’ve seen people saying this a lot, but the subtext seems to have been overlooked. They’re going to do it anyway, they don’t need an excuse, they’re cops, and they’ll simply manufacture a reason to escalate if people don’t give them one.
I think the important thing here is to allow them to manufacture that reason so everyone on the world stage (and the rest of the country) can clearly see it’s bullshit. Then it’s game on.
Bullies push and push and push because they want you to take the first swing, then claim you started it.
So while we wait for them to manufacture that, we let them keep murdering us? Fuck outta here.
Most bullies are cowards who will retreat when their victim fights back. You see most of those ICE shitstains scatter like roaches when the shots rang out? They’re cowards, 95% of them
The order and timing in which things happen is extremely important.
What terrifies Trump right now is the midterms. This is how he can get impeached and ultimately go to jail along with all his inner circle of traitors and Nazis for everything they did. He will use any excuse he can come up with to cancel those elections.
If you serve him one on a silver platter like that, he will absolutely use it. They will call the ICE officer(s) who got killed a “hero” and politicize the shit out of any event where a citizen shoots at then. Then they’ll cancel the elections for (security reasons).
It will be a heck of a lot harder for him to do that if we don’t give him that reason. I would also make it far more unpopular of a move everywhere among the political spectrum and ranks. This would also be the point where the idea of an armed revolt becomes far more popular as well.
The more the rubber band is stretched before it finally goes the further it will go.
Edit:
Figures, the guy who wishes instant gratification with zero thought about effectiveness also downvotes the post that disagrees with him with a better developed opinion.

In what fantasy? By the same party who already declined to prosecute Trump when they were in power?
You realize the Supreme Court’s ruling that presidents are immune from prosecution for any acts taken in their capacity as president, which they specifically said would include assassinating political rivals, didn’t come during Trump’s second term right? It came during Biden’s term. The Supreme Court literally told him, “You could assassinate Trump and nothing would happen to you.” He refused to even pursue him for prosecution.
Democrats WILL NEVER SAVE YOU. They never have. They’re guilty of genocide, and you’re relying on an appeal to their humanity. Don’t doom yourself, organize with actual humans.
With that said, I do agree with you that we need to be careful about how we move. I think we need more local authorities on our side, and I think the rhetoric by many local authorities is beginning to reflect that sentiment.
Won’t be long before we start shooting back. Why not, if they’re going to kill you anyway.

They fucking realize. It’s the goal, that’s the only explanation. They want an excuse to roll out their tanks and APCs and start mass executions.

Show up alone, you get arrested. Show up with 100 people, you get shot. We need to show up with 100,000+ people.
Organize! Join an organization! DSA, PSL, something anything!
I keep seeing this promised. But more Charlie Kirks have died than ICE agents, to date.
Didn’t have roving bands of charlie with backup and presidential support with guns being the aggressor.
Been saying this for months. Always hear “nonono that’s what they want, we need to stay peaceful”. Yeah. Enjoy being peaceful and dead.
It’s the only way I see this getting better.
That’s the whole point. Guess who will be under martial law or other excuse like this so elections go bye-bye
Just keep getting murdered until the election, then everything will be all right!
My point was that he will cancel the elections due to “national security” or some shit like that.
He’s gonna do that anyway, it doesn’t matter either way so it’s best to resist.
That’s exactly what Trump wants to justify declaring martial law and cancelling the mid terms.
At that point IDK what’s the best option.
“Oh no, don’t fight back, otherwise they’ll do what they were already doing anyway.”
The order and timing in which things happen is extremely important.
