Anyone know how to revert the horrendous new #Firefox #Android menu design?

It is slow, clumsy and it is even harder to reach extension icons than before.

And extensions. Are. The. Only. Reason. To. Use. Firefox. (Apart from Privacy, if you harden it a lot).

I couldnt find an about:config to revert the menu redesign. #Ironfox showed a menu for that for some time.

So much better. I like it a a lot.

Of course Firefox on mobile is rarely used, that’s what firefox focus is for.

You. Should. Never. Use. Extensions. Unless you absolutely have to.

I like it very much, morebthan before actually.

And extensions are right there, one tap from the main menu… So what are you bitching about?

For once, a positive UI change IMHO.

It takes an extra click to get to ublock origin which is why I dislike it.

I can’t remeber the last time I needed to interact with uBlock extension. Particularly on mobile, what are you doing with it?

I use ublock in hard mode, so it requires interaction most of the time on new sites.

Have you used hard mode before? You have to manually unblock site elements a lot of the time but it’s very secure for sites that you visit on a whim

      @Shimitar

The extensions take an extra tap to show, and then some are hidden and you cannot even pin them.

      Trust me, it is slow.

I actually like it. Cleaner and easier to use on mobile. Great job 👍.

Only thing I give it is that it doesnt discriminate against left handed people. It is bigger and more cumbersome to reach an addon

@Rhababerbarbar @firefoxnightly @firefox@lemmy.world @firefoxwebdevs @firefox@fedia.io really? It is right there on the very first click. Couldn’t possibly be easier. But hey, let’s hate firefox for everything. I am sure they are to blame for global warming too

It is slower. Of course I know where they are, but it takes an extra click, the drawer has animations (doesnt respect the system disabling them), and not all extensions are shown and the order cannot be changed.

Na, the new menu still sucks. Wish there was a way to revert it.

Might be some way to fiddle with it via userChrome.css. I couldn’t tell you how, but it’d be a place to start looking.

I think I slightly preferred the older UI, but I’m kind of surprised that people care so much either for or against in the comments here. It seems like a pretty minor change to me.
