I’d say that’s a good moment to take a breath and check whether this applies before proceeding.

(This obviously doesn’t apply for celebrities.)

Sometimes I think the person filming is the one doing something very stupid. Regardless, you should take a breath.

If you’re just minding your own business, I’m afraid you’re right.

This sounds like personal experience, if that’s the case, I’m sorry it happened to you, mate. Sime people can be real dicks.

I suggest a third option: something funny.

I’ve seen some funny recordings that were neither brave nor stupid, just hilarious.

But still, might be a good time to assess if they are laughing with you or at you.

Funnily enough (pardon the pun) I thought about putting the option in, but my personal perception is that people being filmed doing funny stuff are not usually filmed by strangers. Slapstick doesn’t count, or rather, I tend to file that under “stupid”.

Apparently in San Diego, there’s a thing that’s been happening (according to other social media) where people will film or photograph other random people when they’re just sitting there or waking by or something. I don’t get it but it’s supposed to be a commentary or something.

A man beans up in the hat of Bear Strangler McGee is either mighty brave, or mighty stupid. Now which are you, boy?
