The third season of !thebutton@lemmy.zip started on May 4th and is themed around Star Wars
Mandalorians fight for honor and tradition. Jedi uphold justice and the light. Sith crave power and dominance. Bounty Hunters thrive in the shadows, chasing the highest bid.
The galaxy is still at war. Where do you stand and why?

I joined the Sith, as I look past what others say about them being evil and self-serving. They are the ones who are willing to delve into darkness and utilize what they find.
It’s unfortunate how they are painted, and the methods that have been historically chosen to combat resistance to the Sith.
The Jedi are a bunch of hypocrites, preaching peace while suppressing whoever raise their voice against them.
There will never be peace with the entropy of an entire galaxy in swing, and it’s folly to have such a goal. The best thing powers can do is controlled chaos, ensuring the majority is preserved, while the minorities that jeopardize this balance are dealt with swiftly and decisively. We don’t have to like it for the action to be optimal.

A little bit of roleplay bleeding through here - don’t take me super seriously please :D
The problem with being Sith is the inevitable betrayal in the end. Although the “honesty” is refreshing, like a light in the darkness.
The problem with being Jedi, at least those particular Jedi, indeed is the hypocrisy built into the system, like a darkness in the light.
Perhaps neither side is “right” or “wrong”, just a preference that each chooses?

I don’t know myself if I am joking or not - maybe a bit of both!?! 🤪
