I’ve got some white t-shirts that have graphic prints on the front, that are stained in the armpits. I was wondering if I could bleach just the armpits of the shirt? I was thinking if I rinsed the bleach off the pits before washing it wouldn’t damage the rest of the shirt, but I’m not sure if there’s a better way of dealing with pit stains. Thanks in advance.

Shirts are cotton if it matters

Baking soda and peroxide, OR Oxygen Bleach (Oxiclean) should be just fine for this. Just soak the affected areas for 15m on a solution of whichever, and you should see it cleaner.

If it’s been permeated from caking agent like deodorant, you may need to boil it. Look into “Laundry Stripping” as well.

Thanks I’ll give laundry stripping a look. It is from aluminum based deodorants, which I recently switched away from so I’m trying to bring some of my shirts back to life since it hopefully won’t be such a problem anymore
