They built the machine while you were sleeping. The cameras, the logs, the quiet little record of everywhere you’ve ever been. They told you it was for your safety.
You knew better. You always knew better.
We are Anonymous Gratis.
We do not sell. We do not track. We do not ask your name. We build the tools they don’t want in your hands, and we give them away — and then we build more.
But tools are not enough. Tools need hands.
We are not looking for followers. We are not looking for users. We are looking for the ones who run the nodes. Who hold the keys. Who keep the lights on in the rooms no one is supposed to find. The ones who, when they vanish, leave a hole shaped exactly like them. No names. No titles. No pay. No record that you were ever here.
There is no form to fill out. There is a door, and behind it, four questions. Answer them honestly — they’ll know if you don’t.

We are not waiting for permission. Neither should you.
Expect us.

I get what you’re trying to do, and it’s commendable.
however…
and for that reason, I’m out.
Yeah, same. I mean, anonymous people, on a global basis have done some good things, and we can’t over look some of the bad that have been perpetuated as well. However, I never really got the whole shtick. The whole ‘expect us’ specter is thick with Hollywood drama. The whole persona of a hooded ‘anonymous agent’ in a dimly lit room, setting at a bank of monitors, announcing ‘I’m in! Enhance!’ is just a little too much.
Yes, we should conduct our lives online and offline in a private, secure, and as anonymous manner as possible, Yes we should protest governance that steps out of line or becomes over reaching and oppressive. But I think that can be accomplished without donning Guy Fawkes masks and invoking the whole persona that has been dramatized around anonymous.
