tbh the wonders of the Feral PC Army include several groups writing console emulators. I am successfully running: Wii, Wii U, Switch, OG Xbox and PS3 emulators as we speak. I understand Xbox 360 and PS4 are also out there, but I haven’t got 'round to them yet.
Interestingly, a lot of media for these emulators is just kind of laying around on the internet for anybody to download.
It’s kinda funny to me because the OG Xbox is what I still use for emulation. Mine has a 2 TB HDD and runs XBMC (what eventually became Kodi). I love that thing and it is still my media server as well. Having to use FTP is a little annoying in the modern day, and it has gotten hard to find disc’s to burn to it, but it still runs like a champ.
Wow that’s impressive. The thing was built like a brick. I had one back in the day and had several games (all of which I downloaded and am running for the nostalgia hit).
One game I found I never knew existed is Tron 2.0. I can’t believe I never even heard of this game, I would have been all about it. The nice thing about the emulator is it has an upscaler and games in HD are absolutely dynamite, especially Tron 2.0.
Tron 2.0 is the true sequel to Tron. All others are inferior.
When I was in highschool I was a huge Tron nerd. I actually sanded down my laptops lid and etched TRON in big letters on it, painted it all up in black and blue. Wish I had a picture of it.
Honestly, yeah it is. OG Xbox emulator has gotten a lot better, but 360 still has the frame drop issues and a LOT of texture fixing problems. So you can spin the camera in just about any game and the textures are flying at you
Oh damn they coded the random red ring of death into an emulator? That’s really cool. I wonder how they can emulate the euphoric and absolutely not infuriating experience of scratching a disc for no apparent reason.
It wasn’t for no reason, it was caused by having a disc in the drive while changing the consoles orientation. You had to remove discs from the drive before standing it up or laying it on its side due to the design of the tray, otherwise the disc would stick halfway between a slot on the side of the tray and get wrecked by the laser carriage.

Also flies as well.

360 might be the single most buggy emulator I play. Shit runs on thoughts and prayers
Worse than OG Xbox emulation? Last time I checked, it was rough to say the least, with absurd hardware requirements.

So it the perfect Xbox 360 emulator?

We do have decomps in the pipes apparently for those exclusives that keep me hopeful. Fable 2 has one halfway running as of I think a few months ago.
Hahahah
