I think you don’t understand how advertising works. This is an obvious ad, which is fine, but the fact is, it is very low effort.

Why would anyone click an ad just based on a name of a product alone? It could be propaganda, a Rick Roll, or a 30minute video that takes 15min to explain what it is, and then I find out it’s something I don’t want anyway. Huge waste of time for everyone.

Refusing to explain what this is, and insisting people click your link is very obviously a weak attempt to raise the video’s view count.

What you should do instead is explain what it is, why its different than other alternatives, and only then encourage users who want to learn more.

No you are a waste of time for everyone.

It is not a ad. I don’t think you understand it is free.

Just because its free doesn’t mean it isn’t an ad.

Also, don’t kid yourself, it’s freemium. Making open source projects like this and then having a paid tier is a VERY common business strategy. Again, this isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but be honest about what you’re doing at least.

At this point you’re really just embarrassing yourself. Delete this entire post and save yourself from the bad publicity.

        Edit:

removed link to pricing page to prevent driving more traffic. Project charges for hosting per customer with price breaks for more users
