Heads up, don’t ever go to Salem even remotely close to Halloween. We didn’t think about it and happened to be there the first week of October and it was insanely crowded. I asked a local and they said it was “calm” compared to how it gets around Halloween.
Though you should visit TST while you’re there. You can touch (or even sit on) the baphomet statue.
I went in the early summer, and it was a nice, sleepy town. Not crowded, but it was super hot. I’m looking forward to going back! Art at TST changes so it’s always interesting to see what’s new.
don’t. i tried to go last weekend and the traffic was so bad it took two hours. basically just got a bite to eat and went home because it was so miserable and crowded.
it’s not sleepy anymore at any time unless dead winter and the weather is awful.
Hey, I’ve been there.

I can only imagine a proliferation of plastic: pumpkins, spooky eyes, porch decorations
it’s mostly drunk and drugged out teenagers you have to worry about.
the train there/back is basically full of puking college kids every weekend from sept-nov
Didn’t mean to disparage the teens. It’s the proliferation of plastic that bothers me.
The kids are mostly biodegradable
Yeah but they’re more valuable when burned for warmth
