While ‘social norms’ promote making fake small talk, my question is, why is this considered normal? You can be polite without forced fake interactions. Spending time reading and learning is worthwhile and increases your knowledge. So yeah, I’d hate having to cater to a needy, demanding co worker, especially when the demand is on a personal level. You have boundaries, good on you.
Hopefully. It’ll be both good an bad. Do the majority of people know it exists? Or was it just me living under a rock until a few weeks ago 😂?
