Agree. Someone well into adulthood with a preference for dating people right at the border of adolescence is a massive red flag. It may be legal but flying as close to that line as society will allow suggests a more predatory nature.

Tuning in local radio stations while I’m driving through new places can be really cool. Also if you’re a sports fan there might be a ballgame on - good way to entertain yourself for like 3 hours.

I think it is worth being very clear that “Executive Dysfunction” is not a disorder, it is a term to describe a symptom that appears across multiple disorders as well as independent of disorders.

Task initiation is an uphill battle for MOST people, and on its own does not indicate a disorder. Uncertainty and anxiety are very real barriers that can overwhelm anyone.

I’d like a list of self-forgiving-for-being-a-piece-of-shit phrases. Example: “I just tell it like it is”, “tough but fair”, etc.

Because one party doesn’t want them to vote and voter supression campaigns have become extremely powerful. And it goes beyond the beurocratic tactics like voter IDs. Apathy, cynicism, and distrust are also part of the right-wing propaganda. Opposition parties fight an uphill battle to engage more voters.

Or even construction… there are office jobs for that too. I know firsthand.

Check out @usernamesAreTricky@lemmy.ml posts. They are posting pictures of grassroots protests across the country every day. Like has been said, there hasn’t been THE big mass protest, but there is constant local activism and protest, just mostly ignored by media.

Beck. He did a solo acoustic portion in the middle of the set, which is pretty normal. But while he was playing solo they brought out a massive dinner table ala the last supper behind him. They went all out, bringing platters of food and drinks and everything. His band came back out and sat at the table. And then they played the table…

The food was fake. It was shakers and noise makers and percussion instruments. The glasses were tuned crystal. The dinner was his backing band. It was amazing.

What about when the next word starts with a schwa? In practice it seems like you change one or the other but not both: “The economy” becomes either “thee uh-conomy” or “tha ee-conomy” but not either combined alternative. Does this rule hold?
