Kith Treats X Katz’s Delicatessen Review: Pastrami Has No Business In Ice Cream
lol! As expected. That sounds absolutely horrific.
The one-two punch of pastrami seasoning and mustard seeds utterly dominated this dessert. Whatever light and smooth attributes that once existed for Kith’s vanilla ice cream succumbed to the tastes and sandy textures borrowed from the smoked meats from Katz’s.
That’s the issue. Ice cream is solidly secure as a sweet dessert ONLY.
But what if we could change that perception, and create a savory, less sweet ice cream that is meant to be served as part of the meal, as an appetizer, or a side dish?
Creating the savory ice cream is easy, it’s changing the perception that’s difficult.
