Take the bus to and from the train station every day, and it’s been years or even decades since it wasn’t correct. That one bus from Oslo to Wacken in 2010 was just a line though, so it happens.
I’m literally sitting in a coach as I read this. I jusst checked, and the time is correct.
Swiss here. They are correct. Always.
Computerised system here, clocks appear synced up to NTP
I saw digital clocks in NYC and Philly public transit. They’re accurate enough to be within 2 minutes of the cell network time.
It’s good enough, I guess.
Aren’t they GPS synchronized where you are? Most of the busses I’ve been in have a central time service.
No, they pretty much accurate.
The ones in the buses I use seems to be.
I mean, they already track the bus using mobile network and GPS, why not sync the clock at the same time…
I should clarify that it is the red LED clock that is often incorrect. The LCD displays are usually sync.
I remember those from back in the day. Where are so old buses still in use?
The orange-red LED display used to display the next stop also display the time in between and it’s in sync…
🇧🇷 Your buses have clocks in them?
HEHE… Hell the clocks in my house aren’t all synced.
I can literally be fie minutes early or late just by what room I am in, in my house.
I do wish I could stand up a time server at home.
In how many places have you checked? They’re accured where I live.
accured
Bruh, if that’s how you think “accurate” is spelled, I’m not about to trust your ability to gauge the correctness of a clock!
I never saw one accurate :)
The TV never works either
On coaches, they often aren’t unless they have some kinda centralised display system that displays stops.
In local public transport busses, they usually are in my experience.
I think the deciding point is whether the bus has a computerised display/pa system. If the driver has to set it manually through some archaic process, it’s bound to be forgotten.
