minus-squarethingsiplay@lemmy.mllinkfedilinkarrow-up76·2 days agoYeah, I’m surprised how many go to Bluesky. It’s just Twitter all over again, controlled by a single company.

minus-squareDessalines@lemmy.mllinkfedilinkarrow-up6·1 day agoThreads. Also instagram should be shown there too as its owned by facebook.
minus-squareVictor@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up24arrow-down2·2 days agoIt wasn’t the “controlled by a single company” part that made me leave Twitter, honestly. It was the Nazi CEO…
minus-squaresakuraba@lemmy.mllinkfedilinkarrow-up23·edit-22 days agothat’s the best part, just as twitter was sold to a nazi bluesky can be sold to a nazi too! that’s what can happen when it is controlled by a single company
minus-squareiamthetot@piefed.calinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up5arrow-down6·2 days agoThen we’ll leave Bluesky too. 🤷
minus-squarebufalo1973@piefed.sociallinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up17·2 days agoAnd fly to the next private one that will be bought in time by another Nazi?
minus-squareiamthetot@piefed.calinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up2arrow-down6·2 days agoIf it’s a good replacement, maybe. I’ll deal with that if it happens. One battle at a time.
minus-squaresakuraba@lemmy.mllinkfedilinkarrow-up13·2 days agono need to worry, at that point the new nazi owner already has all the data they got from the platform
minus-squareVictor@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up2·2 days agoI’m with you on this one. Can’t knock every single product owned by a company assuming all CEOs are Nazis… But a big red flag is when a company sells itself to a billionaire, or goes public on the stock market. That’s when we should start to worry.
minus-squareRegular Water@lemmy.eco.brlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up12·2 days agoThe thing that make them move to Bluesky, its Elon, not the federation (Which is a shame tbh)
minus-squarefubbernuckin@lemmy.dbzer0.comlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up8·2 days agoI think they do actually want Twitter again though. Admittedly, what Twitter used to be was still much better than what it is now.
minus-squarecabbage@piefed.sociallinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·3 hours agoYeah, they are looking for “early twitter”, without reflecting too much on why “early twitter” that they loved turned into what it is today. I think many are forgetting that it took a turn for the worse long before Musk bought it.
