Imagine pardoning a witch killed for witchcraft, and the moment it’s official she comes back to life, appears before the pardoner and then cackles as she flies away on a broomstick.
they should make a movie where shes actually a witch
They should make one where everyone thinks she is going to be because of signs and shit but then she is just a regular corpse.
Still suckin
Don’t worry, in 329 more years we will also convict Trump for all the open corruption and many, many blatent crimes.
Hey, I’ve been there.
Heads up, don’t ever go to Salem even remotely close to Halloween. We didn’t think about it and happened to be there the first week of October and it was insanely crowded. I asked a local and they said it was “calm” compared to how it gets around Halloween.
Though you should visit TST while you’re there. You can touch (or even sit on) the baphomet statue.
I can only imagine a proliferation of plastic: pumpkins, spooky eyes, porch decorations
it’s mostly drunk and drugged out teenagers you have to worry about.
the train there/back is basically full of puking college kids every weekend from sept-nov
Didn’t mean to disparage the teens. It’s the proliferation of plastic that bothers me.
The kids are mostly biodegradable
Yeah but they’re more valuable when burned for warmth
I went in the early summer, and it was a nice, sleepy town. Not crowded, but it was super hot. I’m looking forward to going back! Art at TST changes so it’s always interesting to see what’s new.
don’t. i tried to go last weekend and the traffic was so bad it took two hours. basically just got a bite to eat and went home because it was so miserable and crowded.
it’s not sleepy anymore at any time unless dead winter and the weather is awful.
What’s stopping us from condemning her executors then?
Let’s get that wheel of justice to make one full revolution, please.
What’s the point of rehashing stuff that happened more than 300 years ago? Who is getting justice in that scenario?
The dead, I suppose.
I mean, exonerating her after she’s dead doesn’t unkill her.
But if you’ve already opened that can of worms, you’ve got to deal with all of the worms, and so convicting the people that falsely accused her of the crime of witchcraft of having actually committed a crime would be just as symbolically meaningful, if not more so.
when Turtle Island is reclaimed, we have to make sure this history is avenged really explicitly
Ironically, Elizabeth was the only genuine witch in Salem, and for exonerating her every person to step foot in Salem for the rest of time was damned to eternal torment after death.
I’m sure she’s happier now.
…but what about the other witches?
So did she float or sink?
Frances Farmer will have her revenge, though.
She was there when the deep magic was written
