My neighborhood still has an ice cream truck. I’m curious how many other cities still have ice cream trucks. They seem outdated at this point.

One drove by my house a few weeks ago. Before that? I haven’t seen one in the wild in years.
I haven’t seen a truck in a long time, but there are still dudes on bicycles selling Mexican ice cream and whatever those orange uh… Ring thingies are.
Yeah they drive around all summer in Norway. Hear them once or twice a week.
Same when I’m in Denmark, I love it. Too bad we don’t have them down in Italy.
They’re certainly around in New York.
Pretty much daily, I hear that song playing throughout my neighborhood.
My neighborhood has them. There are adult versions now, they are just called food trucks.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a food truck drive around looking for customers. They’re usually just stationed in one place for the day.
Food trucks move to good spots all the time and many of them have apps that tell people were they are setting up.
I have seen many food trucks that just sell deserts and ice cream…
Where I’m at in Texas, the ice cream truck runs almost year-round. I’m fairly certain they’re selling drugs, because the amount they charge for ice cream is too expensive to be worth it.
Na I get it. It’s hard to say no to something so special for a kiddo

People like ice cream, and with global warming even more, , so a truck strategically parked (at the school exit, in the park, in front of that tourist hot spot) will drag an audience. It may be a bit harder for the ones going from neighborhood to neighbourhood but it’s still a thing. We even have one stopping at my work parking, which is the opportunity for informal discussion with coworkers I see less
You have to get out of your house and talk to someone, you can’t just order it on the phone. It’s def old school 😅
same here, we have one that regularly comes to our part of the neighborhood, but most of the time its cold season, so there isnt much demand.
Absolutely that’s where I buy my weed.
Still got them here in Australia. They’ve always been a rarity and somehow they’re always somewhere else where you can’t see them yet they sound close by but they seem about as common now as my childhood in the 90s.
I live in a major city un Germany. One of the big ice cream parlors has several trucks that go to parks and areas with many offices. I don’t think I’ve ever seen one driving through a residential neighbourhood.
The ice cream truck stopped coming to our estate about 5 years ago though there are plenty of kids about.
I do see them parked near playgrounds etc. quite a bit but not doing the rounds like they used to.
They used to sell illegal ciggies in the UK don’t know if they still do

I’ve seen one around town still. Although I suspect like 90+% of its business is just from parking right outside the town pool in the summer.
